How do you put an individual sim on the Sims 3 Exchange?

I know how to put a household on the exchange, but I want to put an individual sim on there. Can anyone help me out?How do you put an individual sim on the Sims 3 Exchange?you either have to copy him to another family then delete the people in the family or you delete everyone in his family curently :)
