If a man or woman pays another man or woman to have sex with them, they're essentially exchanging different forms of value, one party trading monies or goods to become the recipient of sex, and one party trading their bodies to become the recipient of monies or goods. If two people meet up and engage in casual sex, they're essentially exchanging the same form of value. Both exchange their bodies to become the recipients of sex. In both scenarios, there is an exchange of value ( whether its in the form of money or their genitals) to become the recipients of sex. Just because casual sex involves two agreeing parties doesn't negate the fact that an exchange occurs, how is the person wanting sex from a prostitute and a prostitute wanting value from the person different from two people using each other for sex, essentially perceiving them as disposable, just as a person perceives a prostitute. Unlike a relationship where the person is respected and loved, becomes a giving interaction. Prostitution is where one person is horny for the other but the other is not horny, so the non-horny person agrees to have sex, despite their lack of sexual desire, on the condition that the horny person will pay them for it. This is a very clear distinction.



A better question would be to ask what the difference is between casual sex and the sex between two members of a couple.
