Can you Exchange 1 kind cake pan for another?

I have a carrot cake recipe that calls for it to be baked in 2 10-inch round cake pans. However, I need to make a sheet cake. My questions are: 1) is it even possible to exchange the 2 10-inch round pans for 1 rectangular pan; 2) if so, what size rectangular pan should I use; and 3) how much of an effect on my cooking time will occur? Can you Exchange 1 kind cake pan for another? You can use an 9 x 13 inch rectangular pan for your cake, and it will need to cook, longer - about 10 minutes, but check with a toothpick in the center to be sure.

You could even use a loaf pan but the cook time is even longer, or muffin tins (12) - shorten the cook time. Can you Exchange 1 kind cake pan for another?Yes, but it will change your cook time. I would just keep checking it every ten minutes or so until it looks done. Can you Exchange 1 kind cake pan for another?yes and you can pay the difference on it just as long as it was not used. It would help if you had the receiptCan you Exchange 1 kind cake pan for another?Yes, you can exchange pans. Depending on how thick you want it would depend on what size pan to use. I'd go with 11 x 7 or 13 x 9 personally. It'll be thinner, so it shouldn't take as long to cook. Can you Exchange 1 kind cake pan for another?yes... you can substitute a 9x13%26quot; pan. It shouldn't affect the baking time too much, since the depth of the cake is about the same for both.... If it were a bundt cake, or cupcakes, though, then you'd have to adjust the baking timeCan you Exchange 1 kind cake pan for another?it is possible and it is done everyday...the best thing i can tell you is to just experiment with the times, look on the back of a cake mix box there is a general idea there...
